The Department of Food and Public distribution has released a notification on 21 st August 2015, about the new rule called ‘the Cash Transfer of Food Subsidy Rules, 2015, under the National Food Security Act, 2013, , the Central Government, after consultation with the State Governments.

The Department of Civil Supllies and Consumer Affairs- Government of Puducherry UT, implemented cash for food grains, for NFSA beneficiaries, under the option of cash transfer of the food subsidy to the bank account of beneficiaries every month since September 2015.

The Help Desk portal , an utility developed by NIC,Puducherry is a web enabled application with help desk provided for beneficiary to know their payment details. This Portal also allows beneficiary to give request for Change of beneficiary and beneficiary mobile number update.
